USC Intermedia Poster Spring 2011

Poster for the USC Intermedia Area advertising classes for the spring 2011 semester. The poster was conceived as four different layers—one for each area of study (Photo, Film, Internet, Theory), which in turn correspond to a process color (yellow, cyan, magenta, black). A unified poster is created when all layers are printed on the same sheet. Yet, each layer also works separately when printed on its own, creating separate posters for each areas of study. In the end, we were able to print five different posters for the price of one. And the theatrical installation of the posters packed a visual punch.
